Today I'd like to show a waist-coat that I made in a quite interesting tecnique. It combines crochetting and waving (if I can say so). You can see it on the small picture in the first column to the right.

It was destined to my mom but I pulled the threads too tight and it became a nice Xmas present to a cousin of mine.

10. In a cold climate it is very important to cover not only the body but also the head. I have usually a lot of problems in finding a nice hat; I think many of them make me look awful. So I took it in my hands and after a number of attempts I created this one. The only problem with it was the same as with the jacket- too soft yarn. After some weeks (and rains plus storng northen winds) it lost the shape and also is now waiting for the "make-over".

10. Well, autumn was finally there and I decided to knit something "mysig" or "cosy" as Swedish people call it. I have always been interested in making a "Chanel" kind of jacket. This is my attepmt. Unfortunately it did not turn to be very sucessful, the choice of a soft yarn that was difficult to shape was the major mistake. Now this jacket is lying in a special box for things to be reknitted into something else. Yet I think the failures are as important as sucess if one wants to progress.

9. Cache-couer(hide heart), the French name of a wrap sweater is one of my favorite models to knit. This one is cotton, pale yellow that does not copmete with my quite pale complection. I found some basic model in one of Sandra or Sabrina magazine from 2003 and used needles size 4.

8. And here comes autumn. So unexpectedly, I have never enough of summer, especially recently, when I live in Sweden. But want it or not, one should do something about it. The first thing I did was a bouquet... of leaves.

It is actually quite easy, first you pick up some beautiful leaves of different colours and shapes, clean them if you want and start making "roses", wrapping one leave after another around the middle one. They are quite felxible but still should be treated carefully. At the bottom they are fixed by a usual thread. Some people advise to soak them first in glycerin, them they will not dry out and stay soft and shiny the whole winter. I could not find any glycerin so I just left them natural and they survived the winter anyway.

7. Ouph, it took me quite a while to locate a full size picture of my other summar top that I crocheted. It is white cotton, crochet number 2, the pattern is taken form..euh, some German magazin that I do not really remember the name.

This top was travelling a lot, first to my native country, Belarus, then Spain for vacation, back to Sweden, then Australia. I think it should not complain it has not seen enough of the sun.
