2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 8. Metallic Shine

Earrings “Metallic Shine”

Supplies: metallic bead, rock crystal, silver findings

Simple crystal earrings for summer and office, the idea is mine.

2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 7. Amethyst Summer

Earrings “Amethyst Summer”

Supplies: Circle earrings, glass beads, silver beads, cubic zirconia.

The idea is taken from an Australian beading magazine “Creative Beading. Be inspired”, vol 2, N 4, p.36. I changed the small pendant in the center of the earring from a silver bead to a small zirconia (a part of some old earrings)

2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 6. Garnet Flower

Parure “Garnet Flower”, necklace and a pair of earrings

Supplies: Garnet beads, silver beads, mother-of shell flower and ovals, silver clay elements.

The idea is my own. First I made a silver clay leaf by applying the paste in a small leaf of some tropical plant and then just built up the rest around it. It became rather big piece of jewelry, type that my husband classifies as “gumba- gumba jewelry” but I think it’s quite wearable.

2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 5. Crystal Drops.

Parure “Crystal drops”, necklace and a pair of earrings

Supplies: Rock crystal beads and a pendant, silver chain, silver findings

Again my own ideas, but inspiration is taken from jewelry by Swedish “Snö of Sweden”.

The idea is mine, the leaf is made by applying silver clay paste on a real leaf , sorry, do not know the name of this plant in English.

2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 3. Pearl Pendant

Parure “Pearl pendant”, necklace and a pair of earrings

Supplies: silver findings, fresh water pearls, Swarovski crystals, silver clay elements with incorporated cubic zirconia stones.

The idea is my own.

2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 2. Muse

2009 Summer rain of jewelry. Part 1. Blue Heart

Summer rain of jewelry.
August-September 2009 I had a possibility to fulfill the projects from many months ago. I made several sets of silver jewelry with natural stones. I also incorporated silver clay elements in many of them.

The first one is a parure “Blue heart”, a necklace and a pair of earrings.

Supplies: silver chain, beads and findings, crystal beads, silver clay (syringe), transparent thread.

The idea of the necklace is taken from wonderful book "More Metal clay for Beaders" by Irina Miech, page 70, Starburst Pendant.

The earrings are made all by myself.

My fair wedding. Part 6. Beaded bag "January Snow"

And finally, my pride, knitted bag with beads. I did not plan to make one but after visiting many shops I could not find a nice bag of this crispy white color that matched my dress. I do not why but only off-white and creamy bags were available in abundance.

So I bought nice white yarn and beautiful beads, used this chart as the basic for my knitting, yet I had to make my own calculations, of course.

The lining is made of double face ready-made lining, the handle is from Panduro.

My fair wedding. Part 5. Pearls for girls

As a gift to my maids of honor as well as a present to my mom I made three sets of pearl jewelry.

The ones for two maids of honor consisted of a pair of earrings and a bracelet, the one for my mom was a necklace and a pair of earrings. I did not take the pictures of all the three, but those for the girls are identical, just different color (blue and purple)

Set “Blue ice”, sweet water pearls, 4 silver beads and one silver clay bead that I made myself.

Set “Snow Rose”, sweet water pearls, silver beads, Swarovski crystals.

My fair wedding. Part 4. The basket

This was probably most challenging of my wedding projects. I have previously received a colorful basket with chocolates and fruits and I had already plans to recycle it for the wedding.

1. First I painted it all with white all-around paint, 3 layers, from both inside and outside.

2. After that I glued hard carton base around it as the basket was too small.

3. Then I took a piece of white polyester fabric, folded it and sew the folds from both sides.

4. Next step was to glue it on the carton base, this was not a very easy task, I used the glue pistol yet I had to be really generous with glue to make it stick well.

5. After that I wrapped the handle with a white ribbon and glued two circles (rather oval shape) of carton and fabric to the bottom of the basket (inside and outside).

The final decoration was a ribbon with ready-made tulle roses.
